This is a 20 cents coin that depicts a pied wheatear bird, a species that only breeds on Cyprus. This coin was minted between 1983 and 1988 (this one here is from 1985). It has therefore become a collectable piece now.
In this series of painted coins, this is what we do: we paint the background then let it cure. We then polish, engrave and fix any imperfection with extra-fine brushes (2 hairs and 4 hairs) and then glue the coin on a medallion setting (yes, it is tedious and time-consuming :-) At the very end we glue a perfect glass dome on the coin which acts as a protective layer and as a magnifying glass- all the details become enhanced.
With a lobster claw clasp and always a 3 inch extension that you can use for adjustment (or remove).
All metallic components are lead, nickel and cadmium free.
