(Please read to the end for all the details) Here, you can custom-order the year of the penny that you want (1937 to 2012- maybe a birth year?) combined with a birth stone color AND the medallion setting of your choice. We carefully polish the coins, apply paints, let cure, then do all the tedious detailed work of fixing errors under a huge magnifying glass with brushes that have only 2 hairs. We then glue the coin on the setting and cover it with a perfect glass dome for protection and enhancement The background is black, to make all the details of the penny pop, and the two maple leaves are painted with the birth stone colors. We tried to mix our colors so as to be as accurate as possible in respect to the stones. These pendants come on a standard good quality 18 inch long alloy chain and all our metallic components are lead and nickel free. On a simple, sturdy hanger with lobster claw clasp and a 3 inch extension for adjustment. Please note that 1967 and 2000 are different: 1967 has a flying bird and 2000 has the year at the back- we only see the leaves, Canada and 1 cent.
